Privacy Policy

ProxWatch doesn't collect, store or send any personal data to its developer or to anyone else.
What the app stores, and where
Everything ProxWatch keeps stays on your Mac:
- Your servers and settings. The addresses of the Proxmox servers you add, their certificate fingerprints, your alert thresholds and preferences, and anything you've muted.
- Secrets. API token secrets, and the access token for alert forwarding if you set one, are stored in your Mac's Keychain.
- Widget data. A summary of each server's status is shared between the app and its widgets through a private container on your Mac, so the widgets can show it.
Removing a server in ProxWatch's settings also deletes its token secret from the Keychain.
Network connections
ProxWatch connects only to:
- the Proxmox servers you add, to read their status and, when you ask it to, to start or stop virtual machines and containers
- the ntfy server or webhook address you enter, if you turn on alert forwarding. Each forwarded alert includes the server's name, the alert's text, and the name of the node or guest it's about.
It makes no other network connections. There is no ProxWatch server, and no account to create.
No analytics or tracking
ProxWatch contains no analytics, advertising, crash reporting or tracking code. Apple may share crash reports and usage statistics with developers if you've chosen to share them with app developers in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. Those reports are anonymous and don't include your servers or settings.
This website
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking. Its fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to fetch them. The site's host may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
